Student Activities

Art Class with SupermanThe opportunities for students to be involved in activities beyond the school day are abundant at BLS. The budding arts program starts in fourth grade for interested students. Students begin in strings and band classes and soon have the opportunity to try their hand at art class, worship band, drama, graphic design, and choir. We are proud of what we offer students in our arts program and take the opportunity to share our talents in an annual Arts Extravaganza.

Our robotics team was new to Bethel last year. Fourth through eighth graders are invited to be part of this engaging after school activity. During the practices, teams use a Lego Mindstorms kit to design, build and program a robot to complete a series of challenges. At the WSU competition, the team is judged on the efficiency at which their robot completes the tasks. Awards are given for the performance of the robot, presentation design, and team spirit.

During the summer of 2009 BLS will be embarking on a new journey. A group of forty-seven students and parents will be flying to Washington DC and spending four days touring and learning about our nation from a first hand point of view. These trips will be planned every other year and will be open to BLS 7th and 8th grade students and parents.

Bethel is committed to making our school experience something that cannot be duplicated in any other environment. The rich opportunities we offer combined with a strong spiritual foundation is exactly what makes that commitment a reality.

"We have found that we are rewarded far beyond the amount of tuition that we pay. We would highly recommend Bethel Life to anyone wanting to improve their child's heart, mind, and soul."
